Temporary Junior Ruby on Rails Developer

Hobby Society Pty. Ltd. – Posted by hobbysociety Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

Job Description

Hobby Society is a Sydney based startup that is creating an online community marketplace for hobbyists. It will allow people to share their passion for hobbies by either providing or using a service. Some examples include teaching, renting out space or tools, and posting content. Initially there is a focus on woodworking, pottery and cooking. Ultimately we want to enable people to grow their passion with others.

We are a friendly and young team of three (a girl and two guys) with varied backgrounds from engineering (including software), economics, medicine and data. As a company we value creativity, community and connections. We would love the right person to join us on this journey.

You will work in product development where you will be implementing features on the roadmap and also incorporating feedback and suggestions from our customers. • Customer focus and can occasionally do some business development (fostering stakeholder relationships)
  • A keen interest in what Hobby Society is trying to achieve

Finally before we go, don’t feel you have to meet every criteria listed above. We were also students not too long ago and know that with the right support people can grow into the role.
