Full-Time Product Specialist, Pre-Sales and Support Engineer APAC – Posted by fing Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

Job Description

What you’ll do

  • You will join the Fing APAC team based in Sydney, Australia. You’ll report to the General Manager APAC and the Director of Sales globally.
  • You’ll craft successful sales pitches to help the sales team communicate the Fing products.
  • You will do research about prospect customers, understanding the roles and the goals of the people you’re going to meet.
  • You’ll answer product-specific questions in cooperation with the product manager and the engineering team.
  • You’ll contribute to the product roadmap by uncovering needs of specific market segments and describing them to the product team.
  • You’ll identify the objectives for a proof-of-concept and coordinate pilot installations, supporting the customers in their experience with Fing products.
  • You will act as second line support for complex customer requests which cannot be resolved by our first line support team

We’re looking for someone who has…

  • A knack for high-tech products involving computer networking and user interaction.
  • Ability to think strategically to craft sales presentations and product demonstrations with the right angle and emphasis.
  • Great communication skills, adapting the message to audience background and aspirations, and carefully listening to organizational and individual needs and objectives.
  • Analytical skills, to take advantage of all the available information and data sources and to share them with the team.
  • Organizational skills, to handle multiple contact points, track them with discipline using the appropriate tools, and to coordinate multiple actors to achieve the desired outcome.
  • Collaborative skills, to share information with the sales, product and marketing teams and to ask for help when needed to fill a knowledge gap or to share the load when time is a constraint.

Bonus points

  • Technical knowledge of IP networking and network security.
  • Experience with high-tech product demonstrations and sales pitching.
  • Proven experience of public speaking and article writing.
  • Previous experience working with customers in Asia and ideally knowledge of one or more local languages (Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Cantonese, Bahasa, Hindi)
